Friendship is easy but it is difficult to maintain. For this reason, wisemen limit the circle of friends. A person who does not retreat from sacrificing his life for the sake of a friend in danger, is a true friend. So we must be careful of selecting friends. If we examine a person properly before making friendship with him, there will be no scope of repentance in later.

 বন্ধুত্ব খুব সহজ কিন্তু এটা রক্ষা করা কঠিন।  সে জন্য জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তিগণ তাদের বান্ধব-চক্র সীমিত করেন। বিপদগ্রস্ত বন্ধুর জন্য জীবন উৎসর্গ করতে পশ্চাৎপদ নন, এরূপ ব্যক্তিই প্রকৃত বন্ধু।  অতএব, আমরা বন্ধু নির্বাচনে অবশ্যই সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করবো।   সাথে বন্ধুত্বের পূর্বে  ভালোভাবে পরীক্ষা করে নিলে পরে আর অনুশোচনা করতে হয় না।
